Hog-o-rama: Benefitting the Franklin Volunteer Fire Department - An Exciting Event for a Worthy Cause

The Franklin Volunteer Fire Department is thrilled to announce the Hog-o-rama event, set to take place from April 11 to 13. This exciting event promises to bring together hog hunters and enthusiasts from across the region to support a great cause. 

Event Details

 
The event spans three days of hog hunting, with fantastic prizes awarded for various categories. Participants can look forward to competing in the following categories:
 
·       Longest Cutters
 
·       Most Hogs - No Piglets under 30 lbs
 
·       Heaviest Hog
 

Sign-Ups 

Sign-ups will be held on Friday, April 11th from 12 PM to 6 PM at Franklin VFD Station 2, located at 129 Redden Lane, Franklin, Texas, 77856. Please note that one team member must be present at sign-up for rules and announcements. Hunting officially begins at 6 PM on the same day.

Weigh-In Schedule 

Weigh-ins will take place on Saturday and Sunday, April 12 and 13, starting at 10:00 AM and ending at 3:00 PM. All participants must be in line by 3:00 PM for their hogs to be weighed. The weigh-ins will be held at Franklin VFD Station 2, 129 Redden Lane, Franklin, Texas, 77856.

Entry Fee 

The entry fee for the event is $250 per team, with teams consisting of up to four people. Entry fees are non-refundable and must be turned in by March 15th.

 Prizes 

Prizes will be awarded to the top three winners in each category:
 
·       1st Place: Custom Buckle
 
·       2nd Place: Custom Knife & 25% of Entry Fee Back
 
·       3rd Place: Custom YETI Cup & 15% of Entry Fee Back
 
First place winners in each category will be determined by judges, with tie-breakers also decided by the judges.

 Additional Information 

Food and drinks will be available throughout the event, ensuring participants and spectators stay energized and refreshed.
