Scott Burgess Freedom Fest and 5K Ready to Roll
The Scott Burgess Memorial Scholarship was founded in 2014 in honor of SSG Scott Burgess. The scholarship is awarded to one male and one female Robertson County high school student. The goal of the scholarship is to instill core values in young adults and honor SSG Scott Burgess. Funds are raised for the scholarship via community events such as the Scott Burgess Memorial 5K and Freedom Festival.
This year’s musical line up includes national headliners as well as local favorites. All the musical numbers are known for their ability to get a crowd up on their feet and dancing to the beat. The Festivities take place on June 7 at Franklin City Park.
This year’s line-up includes Corey Morrow, Hayden Haddock, with this year’s headliner Cody Canada and the Departed. The event features a full day of music as well as plenty of fun things to do in between sets.
